Happenings

Summer travel has started off a bit crazy. Airlines and airports are experiencing a staffing shortage causing a number of issues. Combined with crowded airports, bad weather, and mandatory reduction of flights by airport authorities, you are sure to have delays, missed connections, or cancellations. Here are a few ways that you can have the best odds for travel success:

The longer layover is going to be your friend this summer.

Avoid airlines that only have one flight a day (I'm talking about Spirit Airlines).

Don't take the last flight to or from a destination.

Are you cruising or on a tour? Always arrive a day before the cruise departs or even better, arrive two days early and explore the city.

Pack just a carry on. This ensures your bag makes it to your destination.

If you are traveling with a spouse, pack one carry on and a checked bag and share them both. This way you both will have a few sets of clothes and all your medications in your carry on .

Download the airlines app so you can track your flight and your bags.

Don't forget the travel protection.

Should you encounter a delay or cancellation, please remember to be kind and respectful to airline and airport employees. It is a stressful situation and kindness will get you further every time.

V&V Travel Info

We are halfway through 2022 and Visas and Vistas Travel has already surpassed it's yearly goals. I am very goal oriented and set some high but realistic goals for the year. To have already exceeded them 6 months in, blows my mind. I have now adjusted my sales numbers to something I never even imagined was possible.

I have made the top 100 booking agents leaderboard (out of 6,000 agents) and top 100 commission earners for my host agency multiple months this year. This might not mean much to you, but it is a huge deal to me and other industry partners.

My clients deserve the biggest thanks for this. Without each of you trusting me to book your precious vacations, I would not be where I am today. It means the world to me that you tell your friends and family about my services and encourage them to contact me. Thank you for contributing to my success and supporting a small business!

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2022 and 2023 trip requests I worked on this past month:

French Polynesian Honeymoon(s) - Yes, honeymoons with an S! I have done a number of French Polynesian trips this past month. So many that I planned my own trip to the islands. My clients will head to Tahiti for a few nights where they will explore the island on ATV's, hike, snorkel, and visit Moorea before heading off to Bora Bora to relax in an overwater bungalow. This active couple is going to love the adventure of and the romantic vibe of the French Polynesia Islands!

30th Birthday Mexico Celebration - A new client contacted me about planning a birthday celebration for her group of friends who all turn 30 next year. They knew they wanted an all inclusive resort, a great beach, lively pool, and lots of food and drink choices. I presented a few options and the group leaders selected Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya. Each couple/friends are able to select their preferred room type, departure airport, and when they want to arrive and depart. It has been so easy working with them. They are going to love exploring this beautiful tropical resort.

Finest Resort in Punta Cana - A college friend contacted me about an all-inclusive getaway with his wife. They just wanted a few days to get away to relax. It didn't take long for them to invite me and another friend along for the ride. We chose Finest Punta Cana for their Excellence Club Swim Up rooms in the separate adults only area of the resort. I love traveling with this couple and know we will have a great time!

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

August 2022 - Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park. I have rooms available if you want to join us.

October 2022 - SOLD OUT Iceland and hunting for the Northern Lights. October gives us the best opportunity to see the northern lights.

December 2022 - Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.

April 2023 - Tulip Time River Cruise. I have only a few rooms available on the AmaMora. We will spend 7 days exploring the Netherlands and Belgium enjoying the blossoms, chocolate, and beer.

May 2024 - Coming Soon - Egypt and Jordan

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
