Happenings

Last month Alaska was my most requested travel destination. Now that Canada announced that they eliminated all covid travel restrictions, it is even easier to travel to Alaska (many cruises start in Canada)

Here are some fun tidbits about Alaska cruises:

  • Did you know know that approx. 70% of first time cruisers choose Alaska as there first cruise.

  • The Alaskan cruise season is shorter than other destinations (typically April through September) and demand is high.

  • The entire family revel in iconic Alaska with sweeping glaciers and snow-capped mountains as well as unforgettable animal encounters, plus all the fun on board activities.

  • Balcony staterooms are a must. Seeing magnificent glacier views, not to mention sea lions and otters, from the privacy of your own cabin is paramount on an Alaskan cruise.

  • There is an array of family-friendly shore excursions. Check out my blog for more details on what I did in Alaska.

If you are thinking about an Alaska cruise tour next year or in 2024, contact me soon. Rooms go quickly due to the shorter cruise season.

V&V Travel Info

**Out of the Office** October 6-18, 2022- I will be responding to emails, but there may be a delay due to limited wifi.

I am off on another work trip to the French Polynesia. While I have sent many clients to the area, this will be my first visit. I will be visiting 10 different resorts on multiple islands and sailing 7 nights on the Windstar Breeze yacht.

I will be inspecting resorts and meeting with my business partners on the island of Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. By visiting these resorts this is my opportunity to ensure the resorts are meeting my standards as well as creating a business partnership with management on site to help ensure your trip goes smooth with some extra special attention.

I also booked a few excursions to experience some of the islands while cruising. In Raitea I will be drift snorkeling in a coral garden. In Taha'a I am doing an island tour where we will learn about Tahitian vanilla. And in Moorea I will be doing a 4x4 adventure tour around the island. I am so excited to share my experiences when I return.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2022 and 2023 trip requests I worked on this past month:

10th Anniversary Trip - A new referred client reached out about planning their upcoming 10th anniversary trip. They knew they wanted to celebrate at an all inclusive resort but they wanted a little more adventure then just laying on the beach all day. They decided on Xcaret Hotel and Parks in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Not only is all their food (so delicious) and drink included, but so are their excursions. They are going to love ziplining, swimming in cenotes, snorkeling, and maybe even white water rafting. I hope they love this resort as much as I do.

Alaska Cruise Tours - Since I returned from my own Alaskan cruise tour last month, I have had a number of requests for the same type of adventure. I have been booking new and existing clients on Holland America, Princess, and Celebrity Cruise Lines. I even booked the exact same tour I went on! I can't rave enough about the experience I had.

Disney Cruise(s) - In early September, Disney announced a sale for Disney+ Subscribers. If you were a subscriber, the 3rd and 4th guest sailed for free. Disney Cruises rarely go on sale, and this was a big one. I had clients save thousands of dollars with this sale. Most of these were first time cruisers. Disney is going to spoil them for all other cruise lines.

Family Hawaii Trip - An new client approached me about taking their family to Hawaii. They knew they wanted to see as many islands as possible. They will be visiting the Big Island for Hawaii National Park, Oahu for Pearl Harbor and Waikiki Beach, and ending in Maui for a relaxing end to the trip. This will be an exciting 10 day trip for mom, dad, and for their children.

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?

October 2022 - SOLD OUT Iceland and hunting for the Northern Lights. October gives us the best opportunity to see the northern lights.

December 2022 - Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.

April 2023 - (2 Spots Left) Tulip Time River Cruise. I have only a few rooms available on the AmaMora. We will spend 7 days exploring the Netherlands and Belgium enjoying the blossoms, chocolate, and beer.

May 2024 - Coming Soon - Egypt and Jordan

If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
