Happenings

November has been a busy month for travel and for the business. I traveled to the Riviera Maya on my annual girls trip. We had a great time at the Grand Palladium. Check out my blog post here to read all about the resort.

As soon as I returned from Mexico I headed straight to Port Canaveral for the Carnival Liberty ship inspection. Travel agents get the opportunity to tour cruise ships while in port. I visited the different room types (love the captain suites), checked out the public spaces, and enjoyed lunch at Guy's Burgers and Fries. Be on the lookout for an upcoming blog post with all the details.

The next morning I headed to Jacksonville for an immersive Alaska training weekend. This was such a great training event. I learned about the difference between cruise and land tours, what each cruise port has to offer, and must do excursions. I am now planning my own Alaska group cruise. Let me know if you want to join me this summer.

Continuing education is so important in this field. You may notice I try to complete as many training courses offered by tour operators, resorts, and cruises. I do this to better serve you, my client.

Travel News and Info

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line is opening the first overwater cabanas in the Bahamas. Beginning Jan. 31, 2020, the new Coco Beach Club on CocoCay will officially be open for business, offering travelers unique and incredible luxury and relaxation during a stop on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

Coco Beach Club includes 20 Floating Cabanas — the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas — that come with their very own slide. In addition, the Coco Beach Club will offer 10 Beach Cabanas that can accommodate up to eight guests. When guests are not lounging in these luxurious cabanas, they can enjoy a 2,626 square foot clubhouse, which has an oceanfront infinity pool, a complimentary restaurant, daybeds, and elevated amenities and services.

Trip Requests

These past few weeks have been full of exciting trip planning. Here are just a few of the requests I received:

Bachelorette Trip- I had a client come to me requesting an all-inclusive upscale resort for their bachelorette celebration. They will be heading to Unico Riviera Maya in April 2020.

Lesser Antilles Windstar Cruise- My clients are headed to ALL the Caribbean islands. They are spending 14 days on the Windstar Pride. From San Juan to St. Maarten to Montserrat to St. Lucia to Barbados back to San Juan. Plus a handful more stops in between. They are going to fall in love with the small ship yacht feel.

Disney Trip- A few years ago my client took her oldest daughter on a special Disney trip with her aunt and cousin. Well my clients has not heard the end of it from her son that didn't get to go. They are heading to Disney as a family in January 2020.

Cruises- I am not even sure I can count the number of spring break and summer cruises I quoted this month. It was non stop.

My Groups

April 2020- Cruising on the brand new Norwegian Encore from NYC to Bermuda. There is still space available! I am excited to check off a new country.

July/August 2020- Cruising in Alaska. TBD on dates and Ship. Group space coming soon. Who has Alaska on their bucket list?

December 2020- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 20 guests. Inquire today about space.
