Happenings

One of the best things about running my own business is the flexibility. The big selling point is being able to choose how I spend my day. That may mean taking my parents to a doctors appointment, taking a few days off to celebrate a special birthday, never missing a dance recital, or helping a friend out with her small business during her business season. I was never able to do that with my corporate job.

I can also take my office with me wherever I go. While in Ohio this past month, I was able schedule quite a few consultations. It is so nice to sit down with new clients and get to know each other to ensure I was matching them with the perfect trip. From destination weddings to honeymoons to Disney vacations, I have seen it all this month.

During these meetings I get an opportunity to explain to a new client how my booking process works. They are always surprised when I tell them I don't charge a booking fee. I love planning trips, and they shouldn't cost more than nessacary.

We need your help! With the number of cancelled trips over the last year and the cancellations that Love is in the air this month.

Raise your hand if you know anyone who got engaged over the last few months! Did you know that approximately 40% of marriage proposals happen during Engagement Season? Engagement Season is from Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day.

It seems like the last two months we have been getting request after request for honeymoons. We can do the Hawaii info session in our sleep. Runner up for top honeymoon destination is Mexico and the Caribbean. There are some great prices right now for a fun filled all-inclusive beach honeymoon.

Trip Requests

Here are some of the 2021 trip requests I worked on this past month: 

Honeymoon to Jamaica - My clients knew they wanted an all inclusive resort, but weren't sure where. After providing them some options in the Caribbean along with activities in each area, they decided on Jamaica. They will be staying at client favorite Couples Swept Away. This active resort is all-inclusive to the next level. They even include unlimited PADI-certified group diving excursions.

Honeymoon to St Lucia - This honeymoon is a work in progress. My clients have settled on St Lucia and are looking for something different. While we were discussing all-inclusive options, the client stumbled upon a resort that was tucked high inside the treetops. Every room has a beautiful view of the sea, pitons, and a private plunge pool. This resort is extra romantic with their open bedroom wall concept. I am excited to see if they end up choosing this resort.

Hawaii Honeymoon (another one) - I have been talking all things Hawaiian Honeymoon with a client. They just booked beach resorts in Maui and in Oahu. They plan to go snorkeling at Molokini, whale watching, and relax by the ocean. They are going to fall in love with everything Hawaii has to offer.

Anniversary to Secrets Maroma, Mexico - This is probably my topped booked couples resort. The beach is out of this world beautiful. The service and quality is what keeps bringing my clients back to this resort. My clients decided on a preferred room for the upgraded room amenities, complimentary hydrotherapy spa access, and preferred lounge. They will have a romantic time celebrating each other.

My Groups

I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on? 

July 2021- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests.

February 2022- Antarctica. (NEW DATE) This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime. Can't find anyone to travel with you? This cruise has no single supplement, for a limited time.

August 2022 - Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park.
