Mamma Mia! is the ultimate feel-good Greek island movie. The story follows Sophie, a young woman getting ready to marry on the fictional island of Kalokairi. After discovering her mother's diary, she invites three men from her mother's past, each of whom could be her father. What follows is a fun mix of family, friendship, romance and plenty of ABBA.
But the real star of the movie might be the Greek scenery. The turquoise water, rocky coastlines, pine-covered hills and charming villages make you want to pack your bags. Much of the movie was filmed on Skopelos, with additional scenes in Skiathos and the Pelion region.
