Adults Only All-Inclusive Options- Mexico Part 2

Adults Only All-Inclusive Options- Mexico Part 2

Last week I headed to Cancun, Mexico again to learn a little about a few of our most popular all-inclusive resorts. While we can’t visit every resort we send clients to, we sure like to try. One of the focuses of this trip was adults only resorts. There are so many options in the Caribbean. We are only going to discuss some of the highlights of the ones we visited last week.

El Dorado Maroma and Palafitos

IMG_2320.JPG

This is the adults only resort I came on the trip for. The only over water bungalows in Mexico. The resort is also located on the beautiful stretch of Maroma Beach. This is a bucket list room for many!

  • 45 minutes from the airport

  • Beautiful Maroma Beach

  • 6 restaurants and 10 bars- Overwater Grill and Wine Bar for Palafitos guests only

  • 3 pools

  • Beach and pool service

  • Naay Spa

  • Smaller resort with only 157 rooms including swim up suites

El Dorado resorts are so great for honeymoon, anniversary, or just getting away couples. Want to try both resorts? Start your stay at El Dorado Maroma and then spend a few nights in an overwater bungalow.

Secrets Akumal

If you have ever booked an all inclusive adults only resort with us before I almost always include Secrets Maroma. I might have a new favorite in the Secrets brand. This resort was beautiful. It had a lot to compete with but the beach was just as pretty as Maroma and has sea turtles to snorkel with!!

  • 1 hour and 15 minutes from the airport

  • 3 pools with 11 smaller pools for swimout suite access

  • All suite resort

  • 9 restaurants and 7 bars

  • Tequila tasting, cooking classes, theme nights

  • Complimentary green fees at Riviera Maya Golf Club

  • Spa by Pevonia (Amazing)

Akumal means place of turtles. If you are looking to snorkel, spot sea turtles and relax in the sun, this may be the resort for you.

El Dorado Seaside Suites and Palms

IMG_2017.JPG

This resort is two resorts in one. El Dorado Sea side Suites is prefect for the pool lover who is looking for swim up access from room to bar or balcony infinity pool. El Dorado Season Palms is mean for the beach lover. But the best part is you have access to both resorts no matter where you stay.

  • 1 hours and 15 minutes from the airport

  • Swim up suites and balcony infinity pool rooms

  • 10 restaurants and 11 bars and lounges

  • 5 pools

  • Spa

  • Daily and nightly entertainment

I love the El Dorado brand of resorts. They usually have a tropical feel with lush grounds. This property is great for adults who want to get out and socialize by the pool or for those couples who want a little more time to themselves.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya

IMG_2122.JPG

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya was the first all inclusive resort I had ever stayed at in 2015. So I have a special place in my heart for this resort.

  • 30 minutes from the airport

  • 9 restaurants and 10 bars

  • Lush Tropical Grounds

  • 1 Main pool and 3 quiet pools connected by a lazy river

  • Swim Up bars

  • Quiet but lively- perfect mix for when you want to be social or when you want to be alone

  • Large property with walking paths or call for a golf cart service

This resort is perfect for couples and friends. The resort is large but feels secluded. Check out our blog post dedicated to the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya

Hilton Play Del Carmen

IMG_2099.JPG

This property is all about the location. Hilton Playa Del Carmen is beachfront, plus walking distance to Playa Del Carmen’s 5th Avenue, or walking distance to eh ferry to take you to Cozumel.

  • 45 minutes from the airport

  • 8 restaurants and 6 bars

  • 2 pools- Very lively main pool and a quite pool

  • Swim up Bar

  • Playa Del Carmen food, shopping and night life right outside the resort

I would say the crowd at this resort is probably more on the younger side looking for a good pool party and then a night out in Playa Del Carmen.

Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita- Children are allowed but this resort isn’t family friendly.

IMG_2355.JPG

Zoetry is in a league of its own. It isn't adults only, but it isn't family friendly either. Guests who stay at this property are looking for a quiet, relaxing, romantic, luxury, wellness type of stay.

  • 25 minutes from the airport

  • Boutique Resort

  • 6 restaurants and 2 bars

  • Focus on wellness and relaxation

  • All oceanfront suites- each building decorated like a countries culture

  • Upgrade your stay to one of the nice villa inspired Impression Club rooms

This resort is a treat for those that want to relax and just be. There is no rushing through your vacation here.
