Family All-Inclusive Options- Mexico Part 2
Last week I headed to Cancun, Mexico again to learn a little about a few of our most popular all-inclusive resorts. While we can’t visit every resort we send clients to, we sure like to try. One of the focuses of this trip was family Friendly resorts. There are so many options in the Caribbean. We are only going to discuss some of the highlights of the ones we visited last week.
Hotel Xcaret
Hotel Xcaret was hands down my favorite property of the week. This resort is an adventure seeking families dream. Your food, drinks, and excursions (parks and tours) are included. When you have a family of 4 traveling, excursions can cost you anywhere from $50-$200 per person. That adds up really quick.
1 hour and 15 minutes from the airport
Unlimited access and transportation to their parks and tours
11 pools and rivers and coves throughout the property
Small man made cove style beaches
19 restaurants and bars
Swim up Suites
High tech wrist to access parks, room, and take photos at stations
Underground Spa
This resort is amazing for active couples and families. Get all the details of Hotel Xcaret here in our dedicated blog post.
Grand Velas
This resort falls in many categories. While it is family friendly, there is a dedicated side of the resort that is adults only. For even more adults only seclusion, stay in a Zen room and have a tropical spa oasis away from everything. (Zen has not yet reopened due to occupancy restrictions.)
45 minutes from the airport
Three areas- Grand Class (adults only), Ambassador (family friendly), Zen Grand (tropical spa rooms)
4 Pools
8 Restaurants and 7 bars
Pool and Beach concierge service
Kids and Teen Club
Fitness Center
Beautiful Spa
Luxury guests will love this five star resort. If you are into the finer things, thing Ritz and Four Seasons, this resort is for you.
Fairmont Mayakoba
This resort is a bit different than your traditional all-inclusive resort in Mexico. First, it isn’t all inclusive, but you can add an all inclusive plan to your room. Secondly, the Mayakoba area is a grouping of resorts that are connected by walk ways and paths. In this area, sometime sits nice to not have the all inclusive plan so that you can experience the many resorts specialty restaurants in the area. Your all inclusive plan does not transfer to the different resorts.
30 minutes from the airport
9 restaurants and bars (many others in the surrounding resorts)
5 swimming pools including an adults only infinity pool
Daily Activities- volleyball, kayak, paddle board
Kid’s Club
Willow Steam Spa
Walking paths or boats to get to the area resorts
Beach (currently under construction as they update the area. Reopening Sept 2021)
This resort isn’t on the beach but rather surrounded by lagoons and trees. The beach area is a short transfer/walk from the hotel once it reopens in the fall of 2021.
