Adults Only All-Inclusive Options- Punta Cana

Adults Only All-Inclusive Options- Punta Cana

Last week we headed to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to learn a little about how travel is being treated and to visit a few of our most popular all-inclusive resorts. While we can’t visit every resort we send clients to, we sure like to try. One of the focuses of this trip was adults only resorts. There are so many options in the Caribbean. We are only going to discuss some of the highlights of the ones we visited last week.

Secrets Cap Cana

My favorite adults only resort was Secrets Cap Cana. This resort is a client favorite! The service here is outstanding! Upgrade to preferred club and get butler service.

  • 15 minutes from the airport

  • Sugar white sand beach

  • 10 restaurants and 6 bars- Rosewater in the Preferred section is a guest favorite

  • Cap Cana gated community features including stables, an equestrian center with polo fields, a world-class fishery, a protected harbor marina, a natural theme park with eco tours and a championship golf course

  • Accommodations include bungalow suites in Caribbean Casita style and swim out suites

  • An indoor theatre with live shows and nightly entertainment

  • Hydrotherapy circuit

  • Premium Liquors

I have had clients stay here and they all have fallen in love with it. So much so that most want to visit the resort again! Secrets resorts are spread all over the Caribbean but Secrets Cap Cana and Secrets Maroma (Mexico) are my top booked adults only resorts.

Sanctuary Cap Cana

This resort is a close second when it comes to my favorite. This resort had an european vibe with cobblestone streets, large pillars, and rustic decorations.

  • 15 minutes from the airport

  • Unique room categories including oceanfront luxury villas, a Penthouse with Jacuzzi, and private island suites

  • The Castle, surrounded by a moat and adorned with luxury suites, a rooftop pool, WOK Restaurant,

  • 5 restaurants including Blue Marlin, perched on stilts overlooking the ocean and 5 lounges

  • Sanctuary Town: A collection of included bistros, bars and restaurants across from the main entrance

  • Sanctuary Spa with treatment rooms, hydrotherapy circuit and juice bar

  • Nearby Punta Espada Golf Club

This resort has luxury and relaxation written all over it. There are so many semi private places to relax and just be.

Hyatt Zilara

Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva might have been my favorite property I visited. This property can work for adults only (Zilara) and family friendly (Ziva). These two are side by side in two U shapes. The layout allows for 85% ocean view rooms.

  • 15 minutes from the airport

  • Aqua blue water

  • 6 restaurants + 7 bars and lounges (Zilara) plus 6 restaurants + 7 bars and lounges (Ziva)

  • Swim up Suites

  • Waterpark

  • Spa

  • All guests have full access to Hyatt Ziva next door

I love this brand of resorts found in Dominican Republic, Mexico or Jamaica. The luxury, service and inspired cuisine is top notch!

Excellence El Carmen

This was my first visit to an Excellence Resort. Excellence El Carmen is off the charts luxury. Everywhere you turn the resort screams modern elegance. This resort is meant for guests to enjoy the stylish, sophisticated, and grandness a vacation should be.

  • 35 minutes from the airport

  • 12 restaurants and 10 bars

  • Culinary excellence

  • 23 pools

  • Full-service world class Miilé Spa

  • Large property full of daily activities

This resort was very large, impressive, and beautiful. The perfect stay for guests who want to be in the lap of luxury.

Zoetry Aqua- Children are allowed but this resort isn’t family friendly.

Zoetry Aqua is in a league of its own. It isn't adults only, but it isn't family friendly either. Guests who stay at this property are looking for a quiet, relaxing, romantic, luxury, wellness type of stay. The coolest thing: Guests can arrive in style with a helicopter transfer to the resort based on room type booked.

  • 40 minutes from the airport

  • Boutique Resort

  • Private beach in Uvero Alto

  • Only 96 ultra-luxurious suites situated throughout this intimate ocean-front property

  • Building feature cathedral ceilings and cane thatched roofs for bungalow feel

  • Natural, eco-friendly materials used to create private and romantic ambiance

  • Spa-like spacious bathrooms featuring soaking tubs, separate showers with multiple jets

  • 4 Specialty à la carte restaurants featuring organic ingredients with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options

  • Complimentary experiences including a 45-minute horseback ride on the beach and spa hydrotherapy access

This resort is a treat for those that want to relax and just be. There is no rushing through your vacation here.
