December 2024 Newsletter
A new year means a reintroduction. Over the past year I have added a number of new clients that may not know me other than I am a travel agent. Since I like to get to know you when planning your trip, I thought you might want to know a little more about me. If you already know me, feel free to skip to the next section of the newsletter.
My name is Anne and in 2016 I left my auditing career behind to travel the world. I traveled to 30+ countries over the course of a year visiting the sights, eating the food, getting to know the local customs, and making unforgettable memories.
Since this trip, I have added my seventh continent, been to 48 countries, and revisited a bunch of countries along the way. At the end of this year, I will have been to 52 countries in 10 years (maybe a few more if I can sneak another trip somewhere).
When I returned from the world trip I quickly realized the corporate world was not for me anymore. I took a leap of faith, became a travel agent, and started Visas and Vistas Travel.
I love helping couples, families, and friends plan epic vacations without the stress of weeding through all the info out on the internet. All this info can be overwhelming and not always accurate. I am here to help.

Have you heard the term "Wave Season?"
In the Travel Agency world it is the busiest time of the year. Cruise lines typically push out their best promotions from January through March dubbing it Wave Season. But Wave Season has come a long way to now include all inclusive resorts, guided tours, independent tours, and hotels.
Many of the suppliers have started opening up their Wave Season promotions. Some of my favorite guided tour companies are offering HUGE discounts.

Here are some of the trip requests I worked on this past month:
Spring Break in Costa Rica - A referred client needed assistance planning their spring break trip for their active teen sons. After some discussion we came up with an itinerary that has them staying near Manuel Antonio National Park for an adventure filled week. They will be doing a Night Walk in the Rainforest, a Private Sea Kayak and Snorkel, a Nauyaca Waterfall Hike, and an exhilarating Zip Lining tour. Costa Rica is an adventurous family's dream vacation.
Christmas Present Cruises - I had multiple cruise bookings this past month that were Christmas presents. A few lucky families woke up to Caribbean or Alaska cruises in their stocking. Trips are a wonderful gift because they create lasting memories, offer meaningful experiences, and give families the chance to bond while exploring new destinations together.
Disney Cruise - My clients are headed out on their first cruise as a family on the Disney Dream. The Disney Dream offers a magical experience for all ages, with world-class entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and immersive activities designed to create lifelong family memories.
