Couples Resorts - Ocho Rios, Jamaica
I was invited to spend a few days in Jamaica experiencing all that the Couples Resort Brand has to offer. I spent the first few nights on the north side of the island in Ocho Rios at Couples Tower Isle and Couples San Souci. I also spent a few hours at Dunn’s River Falls. Check back for that blog post.
Couples Resorts is one of my most booked adults only resorts. They offer much more than your average adults only all inclusive resort. Their dining is top notch, premium liquor, customized mini bar, unlimited scuba diving (if not certified- you can get certified on property), golf and tennis, unlimited watersports, and included excursions. These excursions include a trip to Dunn’s River Falls, Catamaran cruise at Tower Isle, Margaritaville trip, and shopping shuttle.
Couples Tower Isle
This was my home base for the first part of my stay in Jamaica. It is been said that Couples Tower Isle was the first all-inclusive resort in Jamaica and that another well known resort brand “stole” the all-inclusive idea from Couples Resorts.
This resort feels more intimate then some of the other resorts I have been to. There is plenty of space for everyone, but you also run into your new friends around the resort throughout your stay. You get to know the staff and they always seem to remember you every time you see them.
Couples Tower Isle is their flagship resort. Featuring its own private island, farm-to-table cuisine, and chic island style.

Unlimited Spa at Oasis Spa Villas- The Caribbean’s first all-inclusive unlimited spa experience is available only at Couples Tower Isle.
Since I spent a few days at this resort, I was able to try a number of dishes and drinks around the property. I checked out the Patio Restaurant, Pool Grill, Veranda (lobster on Fridays), Veggie Bar (fresh smoothies), and Eight Rivers Fine Dining. Eight Rivers was my favorite meal here. You might notice that there are more desserts than other dishes. This is because I always encourage ordering two or more desserts at a meal.
I stayed in a Superior Ocean Room. Here is a quick tour of my room.
My favorite room types at Couples Tower Isle are the Oasis Spa Villas. These villas are tucked in the tropical garden spa area and come with your own private pool (Signature Oasis Spa Villas has a bigger pool) and patio. This room also comes with unlimited spa services.
Couples San Souci
I made a quick afternoon visit to Couples San Souci for a tour and lunch. This resort is intimate and romantic as most of the resort is tucked into the cliff side giving you lush and tropical views. There are winding paths, hidden trails, secluded pavilions, and authentic charm. It also had a beautiful beachfront resort side for those that don’t want to climb stairs on their vacation.

Fun Fact: James Bond is rooted in Jamaica as the writer, Ian Fleming, wrote all 13 books in his Jamaican residence. Couples Sans Souci was used as a film location as Miss Taro’s bungalow featured in Dr No and returned to the same resort in Live and Let Die.
I toured a number of rooms during my visit. The lead in room type is the Deluxe Veranda Ocean Suite. These room types are tucked in the cliffs and have a partial view of the ocean. These rooms are secluded and perfect to get away with your significant other.
