Couples Resorts - Negril, Jamaica
I was invited to spend a few days in Jamaica experiencing all that the Couples Resort Brand has to offer. I spent the last few nights of my stay on the west side of the island in Negril at Couples Negril and Couples Swept Away. I also spent a few hours at world famous Rick’s Cafe. Couples Resorts is one of my most booked adults only resorts. They offer much more than your average adults only all inclusive resort. Their dining is top notch, premium liquor, customized mini bar, unlimited scuba diving (if not certified- you can get certified on property), golf and tennis, unlimited watersports, and included excursions. These excursions include a trip to Catamaran cruise, Margaritaville trip, Shopping shuttle, and trip to sunset bar
Couples Negril
This resort was my home for the last part of the stay in Jamaica. This resort is a bit more spread out then Couples Tower Isle (but nowhere as spread out as Couples Swept Away).
Couples Negril is located on 18 acres on the island’s sun-kissed west coast. Lively and low-key, this oceanfront adult resort in Jamaica is a favorite among all-inclusive vacation resorts, offering fresh, modern guest rooms, a treehouse spa and a host of guest get-togethers for mixing and mingling.

Since I spent a few days at this resort, I was able to try a number of yummy dishes and drinks around the property. I checked out Cassava Terrace, Beach Grill & Heliconia, Lychee, and Fruit & Veggie Bar. Lychee was my favorite meal of my stay (and the entire week). You might notice that there are more desserts than other dishes. This is because I always encourage ordering two or more desserts at a meal.
I stayed in a Deluxe Garden Room (but scored a close to the beach location). Here is a quick tour of my room.
My favorite room type (and most booked room at this resort) is the Beachfront Suites. The rooms are located just steps from the beach. These large rooms have a seating area plus patio/balcony with seating (and hammock).
Couples Negril (and Swept Away) utilize the flag system for beach service. This is genius. Grab a flag from one of the beach stands and stick it in the sand when you are in need of a drink. One of the staff will spot your flag up and hustle out to get your order. Once they serve you, they will place the flag on the ground. Repeat the process when it is time for your next drink.
Couples Swept Away
Couples Swept Away is set on 19 acres on world-famous Seven Mile Beach. Among the most sought-after all-inclusive resorts in Negril, features include the island’s largest fitness complex.

I made a very quick visit to Couples Swept Away to tour a few of their rooms. This is hands down my favorite resort of the four. The beach is spectacular. That alone is enough to make it my favorite. My favorite room type here is the Beachfront Verandah Suite. I am sure you can see why this room is the most sought after room type.
All four of the Couples Resorts are perfect for celebrating honeymoons, anniversaries, or just each other. If you are looking for the perfect beach I would stay at Couples Swept Away. If you are looking for a tropical paradise I would stay at Couples San Souci or Couples Negril. If you are looking for a more intimate resort I would stay at Couples Tower Isle. You can’t go wrong with any of the resorts.
