One of the things I love most about being a travel advisor is seeing how the way we travel continues to evolve. Lately, I’ve noticed a few trends that are shaping the kinds of trips my clients are asking for and I think you’ll find them interesting and inspiring.
More travelers are taking longer trips, giving themselves time to slow down and really connect with a destination instead of rushing through a checklist. I’m also seeing a growing interest in off-the-beaten-path spots or more unique excursions, where travelers can enjoy more authentic experiences and avoid the heavy crowds of the big-name destinations. I just had clients return from the Azores and they had an incredible time.
Another shift is the focus on sustainability. Many people want to know that their resort is eco-conscious or that their trip supports the local community. I am starting to notice that the resorts in the Caribbean are moving to reduce plastic through the use of reusable water bottles they receive at check in and water filling stations located around the resort.
And of course, multigenerational travel continues to grow in popularity. Families love planning vacations that bring grandparents, parents, and kids together, and destinations with something for every age group like cruises, villas, and all-inclusive resorts. My multigenerational families love Alaska cruises in the summer and all-inclusive resorts in the winter.
It’s exciting to see travel moving in this direction, with more focus on meaning, connection, and experiences that truly last.
Visas and Vistas Travel Business Hours
My office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with additional times available by appointment. To encourage a better work life balance, I will not be in the office on Fridays. I will still be available for scheduled calls, finalizing bookings, and making deposits/final payments.
While those are my set hours, I want my clients to know that if you’re traveling, I am always available for travel emergencies. Your peace of mind while away is my priority. Thank you for understanding the need to have time away from the office.
