August Newsletter
Happenings
Sorry for the delay. This months newsletter got away from me. We had some exciting airline changes these past few weeks. For those that fly often, I am sure you have encountered the $200+ flight change fee at some point. That all just changed with the major airlines. No change fees on most airline tickets with Delta, American, United and as always Southwest.
Delta Airlines: Change fees have been eliminated for tickets purchased for travel within the domestic U.S., Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands in First Class, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin with the exception of Basic Economy.
American Airlines: Change fees have been eliminated for all First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Main Cabin tickets for all domestic and short-haul international flights.
United Airlines: Change fees have been eliminated on most Economy (except Basic Economy) and all premium-cabin tickets for flights within the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, United announced it will also allow customers who want to depart earlier or later the same day to fly standby without paying a $75 same-day change fee.
Southwest: They have always had favorable change fee policies. You can cancel or change your flight with no change fees. Southwest issues a flight credit in the amount paid for the ticket to be used within a year of cancelling. Don't forget bags fly free too!! This is fabulous news and makes planning travel more flexible! Where do you want to fly to first?

Trip Requests
Here are some of the 2021 trips I worked on this past month:
Thanksgiving Celebrity Cruise - My clients were the first ones to be affected by the cruise industry suspension. They were set to sail the day after the announcement. Since then we have been on the hunt for the perfect cruise for them. They decided on a 2021 Thanksgiving cruise on the Celebrity Apex visiting Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Kitts. They will be sailing in an infinity balcony room with all the bells and whistles. They even invited their fun parents along with them. They are going to love the newest Celebrity ship!
Mexico All-Inclusive Resort - A client was referred to us by a friend (we love referrals) about booking an all-inclusive Mexico trip. We presented a few of our favorite resorts within their budget and they picked Dreams Riviera Cancun and Spa! The client had already visited a Dreams Resort in Punta Cana and loved it. They will be joined by another couple and maybe a few more. They are sure to have the best time enjoying the pools, beach, food, and activities.
Rebooking Hawaii 50th (now 51st) Anniversary Celebration - My clients, grandma and grandpa, are celebrating their 51st anniversary and taking their kids and grandkids on a special family vacation. They head to Maui in June 2020! Snorkeling, luau, poke, and maybe spot Moana!! They are staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort in 3 cottages (one with a kitchen) right near the beach. Trip of a lifetime for this family.
My Groups
I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?
January 2021- Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.
April 2021- COMING SOON European River Cruise. I have had the Netherlands on my travel list for some time. I think the perfect time to visit is during Tulip soon. Let me know if this is something you are interested in. July 2021- Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests. I have 6 spots left!
August 2021- Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park. I have rooms available if you want to join us.
If you are interested in joining me on one or all of these trips, please reply to this email.
