I recently watched a video of a parent asking their children what they received for Christmas last year. The kids thought for a moment, but couldn’t remember a single present. Then the parent asked them about their last vacation, and their faces lit up as they recalled the smallest details. It was such a clear reminder that the memories we make together far outlast anything that can be wrapped in a box. Travel has a way of bringing families closer, creating moments that stay with us long after the suitcases are unpacked.
As the seasons shift and we start thinking about celebrations and special occasions, I find myself drawn to the idea of giving experiences instead of things. A future getaway can be something to look forward to, something that brings excitement even before the trip begins. It might be a weekend escape, a family adventure, or a relaxing beach vacation, but the joy it creates will last well beyond the moment it’s given.

The holidays are here! This means I will be taking some time off to spend with family and friends.
I’ll be out of the office from December 12, 2025 to January 4, 2026. I will be in Europe on a Christmas Markets River Cruise aboard the AmaMagna and spending time with family when I return.
While I won't be completing new quotes during these dates, I will be available to my traveling clients and will be wrapping up any existing quotes.

Destination Highlight: Europe’s Christmas Markets – A Holiday Tradition
Europe’s Christmas markets bring the season to life with twinkling lights, festive music, and historic squares transformed into winter wonderlands. Beloved markets include Vienna’s Christkindlmarkt, typically running from mid November to December 26, where the Rathausplatz glows with decorated trees and artisan stalls. In Germany, Nuremberg’s Christkindlesmarkt opens from late November through Christmas Eve and is known for its traditional charm and hand carved treasures. Strasbourg, often called the Capital of Christmas, hosts one of the oldest markets in France from late November to late December, filling its half timbered streets with warm holiday spirit. Travelers will also enjoy Prague’s Old Town and Wenceslas Square markets, usually open from late November into the first week of January, offering an extended season for winter visitors.
Each market offers its own signature flavors and crafts. Guests can savor roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, warm pretzels, grilled sausages, and regional pastries, along with classic seasonal drinks like mulled wine, spiced punch, and hot chocolate. Stalls brim with handmade ornaments, woodwork, candles, wool scarves, ceramics, and traditional toys, making it easy to find meaningful gifts. Whether strolling through lantern lit lanes or enjoying a cup of something warm beneath the glow of holiday lights, Europe’s Christmas markets offer a timeless celebration of the season.
