Happenings
Things are ever changing in the world of travel. The biggest change is with the cruise industry. Now that covid vaccines are approved for children 5-11, the cruise industry has started to react.
Currently, guests over 12 years of age must be vaccinated to cruise (limited exceptions). Disney and Celebrity announced that beginning in 2022, guests 5 and up must be fully vaccinated to cruise. I anticipate the other cruise lines to follow their lead and create similar standards.
Fully vaccinated means that you are more than 14 days from your final dose. This could mean 14 days after your only dose of J&J or your second dose with Pfizer and Moderna. I anticipate that the definition of fully vaccinated will change when the CDC determines a booster timeline.
Due to the constant changes in travel restrictions overseas and supplier requirements, I am only booking cruise clients who are fully vaccinated or plan to be vaccinated at the time of travel. I will also continue to book guided tours, all over the world, for guests that are fully vaccinated.
Travel is rapidly opening up for vaccinated travels.

My next group trip has been booked. I am heading to Iceland to hunt for the Northern Lights! This 7 day tour will have three dedicated nights to hunt for the Northern Lights. Plus each night we will be in a position to walk out of our hotel and see them without leaving the hotel.

Trip Requests
Here are some of the 2022 trip requests I worked on this past month:
Disney! Disney! Disney! - I had more Disney requests this past month than any other month I've been in business. Lots of family are surprising their little ones this Christmas with a magical Disney experience rather than toys they might forget about in a few days. I got so excited about Disney, that I booked my own trip for January.
Mexican Honeymoon - A new client contacted my while I was in Ohio about booking their honeymoon. We met for a drink at a local restaurant and talked about all-inclusive resort. After getting to know them and some of their wants, I was able to present a few options to consider. They quickly decided on El Dorado Royale in a Beachfront Junior Suite. They are going to fall in live with this beautiful resort.
Celebrity Cruise - My clients were cruising last month and contacted me about booking a cruise while they were sailing. I encouraged them to visit the future cruise desk on the ship and book on board. When you book your next cruise while you are sailing, you can get the same sales I can get plus some extra on board credit and low deposits. The best part is I am still your travel agent.
My Groups
I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s). Which one do you want to join me on?
February 2022- Antarctica. This is my last continent. We will be taking an expedition cruise from South America and through the Drake Passage to the Antarctica peninsula with Ponant Cruise Line. Trip of a lifetime.
April 2022 - I have 2 female spots left. Galápagos Islands. We begin in Quito, Ecuador then spend 5 days island hopping on land and by ship. The ship only holds 16 guests.
August 2022 - I have 2 staterooms left. Cruise and Land tour in Alaska. We will be sailing on Holland America and spending three days in Denali National Park. I have rooms available if you want to join us.
October 2022 - Iceland and hunting for the Northern Lights. October gives us the best opportunity to see the northern lights. I have 8 rooms being held for 60 days. These are first come, first serve and will sell out.
