I recently returned from another amazing Travel with Anne group adventure, this time to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. When I first shared this trip, I talked about exploring Table Mountain, enjoying the Cape Winelands, experiencing safaris in Kruger National Park, visiting Victoria Falls, and cruising the Chobe River. We did all of that and more, and I can honestly say the trip exceeded every expectation. From the stunning scenery and incredible wildlife to the rich culture and unforgettable experiences, every stop brought something special.
One of the highlights was seeing the Big Five in the wild. There is nothing quite like spotting lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo in their natural habitat. Each game drive brought something new, and every day felt like an adventure. We also experienced the incredible food, learned about local cultures, and met wonderful people along the way.
Traveling through Africa is not always glamorous. We got dusty. We got soaked. We woke up early. We ended many days tired. But every moment was worth it. From the breathtaking views atop Table Mountain to the thunderous power of Victoria Falls and the unforgettable wildlife encounters across the region, this journey reminded me why I love helping others explore the world. Africa has a way of getting into your heart, and this trip created memories that will stay with me for a lifetime.
Group Trips...I Promise 2027 is Coming Soon!
Planning my Travel with Anne group trips is always an exciting process, and sometimes that process requires adjusting plans to create the best possible experience. I had originally hoped to offer a Croatia yacht cruise in the fall of 2027, but due to availability challenges and demand, I have made the decision to postpone that trip for a future year. It is still something I want to do, but I just need a little more time to make it happen.
Instead, I am currently finalizing the details of what I believe will be an incredible adventure: a combined Amazon cruise and Machu Picchu journey. This itinerary will allow travelers to experience two of South America's most remarkable destinations in a single trip, combining the natural wonders of the Amazon with the history and culture of Machu Picchu. For those who have already visited Machu Picchu, there will be an option to skip the Machu Picchu portion of the trip. I'm putting the finishing touches on the itinerary now and expect to share complete details within the next few weeks. Stay tuned for what promises to be a truly unforgettable Travel with Anne experience!
