October 2026 Newsletter
As a travel advisor, I spend so much of my time helping clients plan their dream trips that I always have a few of my own on the wish list. My travel bucket list seems to grow rather than shrink, but there are a few destinations I am especially excited about. I can't wait to get these trips on my calendar.
Egypt and Jordan are high on my list. I would love to explore the pyramids, temples, and ancient history of Egypt and then continue on to Jordan to experience Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. My last New World Wonder to see. There is something incredibly exciting about standing in places with thousands of years of history and seeing these incredible sites in person.
Singapore is another destination I have been dreaming about. The food is a huge draw for me, from the famous hawker centers to the incredible variety of cuisines, but I am equally fascinated by the architecture and the way modern design blends with the city's history and culture. I would love the opportunity to spend several days exploring the city and experiencing it for myself.
I am also looking forward to exploring the South Island of New Zealand. I have already spent a few weeks on the North Island and know that the South Island will be just as exciting. The dramatic scenery, mountains, lakes, fjords, and opportunities for outdoor adventure make this a destination that seems tailor-made for the kind of travel I enjoy. There is so much to see and experience that I know I would want plenty of time to explore.
The funny thing about being a travel advisor is that the more of the world I see, the longer my travel wish list becomes. There is always another destination, another experience, and another adventure waiting to be discovered. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
Out of the Office: October 16- November 9, 2026
I'll be out of the office exploring Europe. The first leg of the trip will be in Germany experiencing a river cruise down the Moselle River, the Rhine River, the Main River visiting Luxembourg, Cochem, Rudesheim, Wertheim, Bamberg. The theme of this cruise is castles and wineries. I will then head off to Paris to experience some of my most booked hotels and meet with the hotel sales managers. I will also be doing a few new to me experiences. My last stop is a rewards trips for being one of the top 150 agents in my agency. I will be sailing with Uniworld in Southwest France on their one of a kind boutique hotel ships. There will be more winery stops that I can count.
While I will not be completing new quotes during these dates, I will remain available to clients actively traveling and they have the appropriate contact information.
I look forward to sharing updates throughout my time in Europe on the Visas and Vistas Travel Facebook page, and I invite you to follow along.
Destination Highlight: Munich, Germany – Bavarian Charm and Culture
Munich offers a wonderful blend of traditional Bavarian culture, grand architecture, and modern city life. At the heart of the city, Marienplatz is surrounded by historic buildings and the famous Neues Rathaus, while the nearby Viktualienmarkt is a wonderful place to sample local specialties and experience the city’s food culture. Visitors can explore the elegant Nymphenburg Palace, stroll through the English Garden, or visit one of Munich’s many museums. Beer halls, traditional restaurants, and charming neighborhoods add to the welcoming atmosphere that makes Munich so enjoyable to explore.
Munich also makes an excellent base for discovering the surrounding region. A day trip to the fairytale-like Neuschwanstein Castle offers spectacular Alpine scenery, while nearby towns and lakes provide a glimpse into Bavaria beyond the city. In the fall, Oktoberfest brings visitors from around the world to celebrate with traditional music, food, and, of course, Bavarian beer. During the holiday season, Munich’s Christmas markets fill the city with lights, handmade crafts, roasted chestnuts, gingerbread, and warm glühwein. Whether visiting for history, culture, food, or seasonal traditions, Munich offers a memorable introduction to Bavaria.
I love hosting group trips. Here is where I am heading in the coming year(s).
